Praise for Lisa’s group programs

“Working with Lisa helped me focus on what is really important to me. I loved working in a group setting. It was reassuring to know that others are in a similar boat, and to hear their perspectives and approaches to things. I also found the exercises incredibly helpful and surprisingly simple.” Joanne

  • Yes! Each Zoom session will include a grounding exercise to reduce stress, an inspiring check-in, a midlife coaching tool from Lisa, plus group interaction, goal sharing and encouragement. Each session will be recorded and available afterward for Circle members only.

  • Over the months, the Circle will cover a wide variety of topics such as building confidence, managing menopause, beneficial mindset habits, career pivots, examining and reframing thoughts that hold you back, choosing goals and habits that boost joy, energy and well-being, caregiving, dealing with fear and worry, overcoming procrastination, celebrating your strengths and progress, and much more.

  • A coach is an ally and thinking partner who helps you tune into your values, uncover limiting or negative thoughts that are holding you back and work toward a life that reflects your authentic self. Coaching unlocks your own inner wisdom, guiding you to do the work that will help you thrive. A coach listens and asks questions that raise awareness and empower you to develop a plan that you can act on – at your own pace, because you’re accountable for your progress.

  • Awareness, growth and the formation of new habits take time (and practise). Investing in an ongoing program allows you to try a variety of tools and practices that activate your insight so that you take sustained action and start progressing.

  • Mindset work – which helps you identify and change thoughts and mindsets that keep you stuck – is a vital part of life coaching. It’s sort of like asking what the difference is between a car and a car steering wheel – the steering wheel is a part of the car that helps you go in the right direction. Learning to become aware of your mindset and how to manage it is one of the greatest gifts you can give yourself. (I speak from experience!)

  • You want to find a coach who will make you feel supported, safe and connected. I offer a free discovery call so that you can meet me, and we can discuss whether coaching is right for you. There is no obligation to book coaching after that. You’ll find directories of coaches on a variety of websites and you can also ask people you know for recommendations.

  • It’s harder to grow if you don’t take the time to understand how your mindset and habits keep you stuck. Many of us have wasted considerable time, effort and money starting and stopping classes and memberships, staying in unsatisfying jobs and pursuing things that don’t serve us. Investing in coaching is about investing in yourself, so that you can gain focus and learn to create more ease and satisfaction in your life.

  • Talk to your doctor or health practitioner immediately if you are suffering from depression, anxiety, an eating disorder, posttraumatic stress, substance abuse or suicidal thoughts. (For the latter, call 9-8-8 or 1-833-456-4566.) Your doctor can recommend treatment and refer you to a therapist, psychologist or psychiatrist, as appropriate. Some online programs, such as Mindbeacon and TeleCBT, are covered by OHIP. Coaching is not therapy, which focuses on the past, but instead focuses on clarifying and shaping your future. (Read more about the differences between a life coach vs a therapist here.) An ethical coach will recommend therapy if a potential client has deep-seated issues that will likely benefit from medical and psychological treatment. Note that you can pursue therapy and coaching at the same time if your medical team or therapist consider it beneficial.

  • All services are invoiced, and payment receipts are provided. If you are a business owner or are self-employed, this service could possibly be claimed as a professional development and/or business coaching expense. (Talk to your tax professional to confirm.)
